How the draw works:
Put in the names, or just the number of players, and deal. The phone calls each name in turn and they tap a face-down card. Pass the phone around, or have one person tap for everyone.
Whoever draws the ace taps where they're actually sitting. Everyone else sits by their card, counting to the ace's left: the 2 right next to them, then the 3, and on around the table. The ace deals first.
Two tables:
Over 9 players, it splits you into two tables as evenly as it can. Black cards sit at table 1 and red cards at table 2, so nobody knows their table until they flip. Each table gets its own ace and its own first dealer.
Late arrivals and the final table:
Someone shows up late? Tap Add a Player. With two tables, they go to whichever table is a player short, and if the tables are even, their card decides. When two tables are down to 9 or fewer, tap Combine Tables for a fresh draw onto one final table.
Close the page between hands, take a call, scroll your phone: when you come back, it picks up right where you left off, so you can still add players and combine tables.
Questions hosts ask:
Is it really random?
Yes. It shuffles with the same kind of randomness used to make passwords, and every card is equally likely to end up anywhere.
Where do the names go?
Nowhere. The draw happens on your phone and nothing you type is sent anywhere. Your phone holds on to tonight's draw for 12 hours so you can come back to it, then forgets it.
Can we do it without names?
Tap "No Names" and set how many are playing. Everyone picks a card and sits where it lands on the table, and the tables will only show the cards instead of names. So make sure people remember their cards as you go.
